There’s a social and economic hurricane coming

Millions of Americans have known for decades we’ve been heading over a cliff. Mark Steyn summarized what we face in his bestselling book America Alone (2010):

In just fifty years we’ve gone from the richest nation on earth to the brokest nation in history. We have overspent on a scale no civilization has ever done. Governments are broke. Most people and institutions are broke. The debt is so huge it can never be repaid. Tens of millions of Americans have yet to understand we can no longer kick the can down the road because we’re all out of road, and there’s just a long drop into the abyss.

The wealthy elite are advance indicators of what’s coming in the future. Observations from the World Economic Forum (2015) include the following:

“Very powerful people are telling us they’re scared. When the elite of the world start preparing for doomsday that is a very troubling sign. And right now the elite are quietly preparing for disaster like never before…spending billions on bug out shelters, remote islands, and armed yacht’s. They want to know that they will have a safe place to go.”

Here’s a quote from the legendary Robert Prechter (2019), president and founder of the world’s largest, and most respected, independent market forecasting company.

Man, oh man, what a change is near. Almost no one has a clue about what’s about to transpire. When the tide turns, the burdens that optimistic, careless people have placed on the economy will finally crush it. The downturn will seem to come out of the blue, but it has been germinating for a long, long time.

The ebullience of 2000 was amazing, and the indulgence of 2006-8 was flabbergasting. Now words are insufficient to convey the breadth and depth of the financial insanity that exists. The stock market is overvalued but no one thinks it matters, the economy is dying, yet economists think it’s fine, real estate is weighed down by debt, yet institutional investors are buying tens of thousands of homes, to flip. The amount of risky debt is so huge that it can never be repaid and the public is gorging on it at a record pace. Most people and institutions, including governments, are broke but they don’t know it.

The risk in the stock market is epic. Its technical condition – as revealed in the many charts and indicators we have shown over the past two years has staggering implications

The worldwide money system has made preserving wealth nearly impossible. And if in a future panic central banks opt to recall cash, even cash holders will be doomed.

The trap is sprung, but there is still almost no appreciation for how fully it will change the lives of most of the people on the planet.

It only takes one spark…

The most respected experts on the subject agree that it is inevitable that the global financial system will collapse and banks will be forced to close. There are dozens of potential sparks that can cause this, and all will have the same catastrophic result. Here are just a few:

• Small number of banks around the world collapse. (a small bank in Europe that failed started a domino effect that led to the great depression).
• Stock market crash (on the cusp of now)
• Cyber attack on the banking systems that cause them to fail. (thousands of attacks happen every day).
• Cyber attacks that disrupt or shut down the internet (Russia is the world leader in offensive cyber attack capability)
• China economic collapse (in progress now)
• Loss of confidence in the global financial system (already happening)
• Successful cyber attack on our electrical grids causing massive shutdowns (Russia, US, and China can now)
• Pandemic. We got lucky with the last one with less than 1% fatality rate. Imagine what just a 5% fatality rate would cause.
• EMP attack taking down our electrical grids. (North Korea successfully practiced an attack)

I have to tell you, I’d rather be prepared and have nothing happen than realize in the hours after a financial meltdown that no matter how much I scramble to fix things for my family, it’s too late.
